Re: 1st Hand experiences you've seen a rabbit pull
Had dogs pounding rabbit for about 45 mins watched it come across a yard and jump up into a broken window of an abandoned garage. All the dogs circled building my old dog jumped up thru the window never did get rabbit out of there. He def had a plan. Was neat to watch for sure.

Re: Soloing a dog
I solo as much as possible with young pups and switch brace them with old dog so they get the front and dont get pounded and then with a dog that keeps the front. All pups are different and need a little bit more of one or the other but if he cant do it all on his own he wont be here. I solo mostly ...

Re: bark collar
I have used most of the different brands of bark collars. The best that I have used is tritronics it cost more but for me has lasted longer also. The cheaper ones you need to change the collar out or the cheap nylon fabric alot of dogs will get it off and shred it. I have also had dogs shocked while...

Re: Deep snow and cottontails
We run into alot of dead ones now the hawks are brutal right now and a bunny on top the snow is pretty easy pickens. With this snow all the animals got it a little rough and id say the rabbit is about the easiest on the menu. When we do get runs right now the dogs have been catching them.

Re: lost the best pup I have ever raised
Brad a couple years ago my sons first coonhound got run off a tree by coyotes and ended up hit by a semi on the highway. I was working out of town and he worked with that pup everyday. Was the hardest thing to tell him what happened that next morning. He has since pursued trapping coyotes and bought...

Re: WNY International Cottontail hunt
Great Derby for a Great Cause. Awsome to see how a bunch of beaglers can raise a bunch of money for a good cause and doing what we love doing. We had good runs all day dispite frigid cold and blowing snow. And nice to see the cup back in the USA..!!!... Lol Congrats to all
