Coccidia

Hi All. Just looking for some advice. I had a litter of GSD pups recently and sold some of them this weekend. One of the pups came down ill last night and ended up testing positive. They are 7 weeks old and he is rebounding. His litter mates so far haven't shown any signs. I have the others on a Amp...

Re: Garmin Bundle

Steve W - I put the longer antenna on. It did give me more range, but it's still under two miles. At times less than half a mile with the big antenna, but usually about 1.5 miles. I did think I'd get more range with it, but all of the other advantages with this system make it far superior to my ole ...

Re: Garmin Bundle

Thanks for the tips. I haven't tried the longer antenna, but I'm thinking that will solve the issue. I called Garmin and a lady walked me thru and I installed Birdseye. Honestly, it's not what I thought it was going to be. I assumed it would turn the topo on the hand held into birdseye, it didn't. L...

Re: Garmin Bundle

One other question. The unit comes with the one year free "Birdseye" subscription. I've done everything imaginable to get it to download and it won't work. After I go thru all the prompts I get a message stating I don't have a compatible device plugged in, (I do). Called the company, they were no he...

Re: Garmin Bundle

I went with this system, Astro 100 and TT15 mini's. It came in on Friday. I played with it over the weekend. Lots to learn on it yet, but basically pretty straight forward. The training features are really nice. What I don't like is the most important feature. I can't get more than a mile coverage b...

Garmin Bundle

Looking for opinions on the best modern technology out there. My Johnson's Telemetry system is biting the dust - finally (been a good system). I've been waiting to get the most modern technology out there and it seems the time is now. The Garmin TT 100 Bundle seems to "the best system" right now? Is...

Albon

I had bought Albon decades ago to have on hand in case of Coccidia. I threw it out years ago and want to get another bottle. The generic name is Sulfamethoxine. Does anyone have a suggestion for a source to get it at a fair price. Tractor Supply and the local Feed Store don't care it and can't get i...

Re: best stud!!!!

Even the best of studs can produce a dud once in awhile. And it certainly is a 50 / 50 proposition. I never did see Oliver run, however I've seen dogs out of the same cross as him, his ancestors behind him - they were very, very good hounds. He's got a strong family of dogs behind him for sure. Spea...

Bulk Dog Food

I was getting a great deal on bulk dog food. I had found the gold at the end of the rainbow as my feed bill had been cut by more than half. My source unfortunately has dried up. Does anyone know of a company with a good product willing to ship by the ton? I'm in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, so s...

Lake Superior LPH Oct. 8th & 9th

Come to the historic Lake Superior Beagle Club for one of the last trials of the season. Beautiful country, peak fall colors, camaraderie, GREAT running and most of all - a FAIR shake! One of the first, and oldest clubs in the nation, where the running is typically great and the competition stiff!!!

Re: Derby Trials awarding points toward Field Champion

I think allowing points for NBQ and calling it Fifth place would have made a lot more sense. A lot of good dogs never finished needing a point or less. Sounds like this is a done deal? On the upside, Derby Trials will mean something again. Years ago the Derby was a big deal, placing at the local clu...
