I train a lot of pups in a year; a little fur in the mouth goes a long ways. Sort of a reward. We don't shoot many, just a few. Thanks, Bob I agree, but during season... we meat hunt. We are fortunate to have several good places to run with a good rabbit population (at least this year has been good...

Hate to hear about your loss. It's tough losing a hound that holds a special place in your heart.

All dogs were grade at one time or another until someone (registry) started to keep records of such. AKC has been around long enough to have a pretty good data base to be able to put a history of a dogs ancestry together from their closed registry meaning they only register dogs that come from AKC ...

If they run as good as they look. You shouldn't have any problems with them.

A hound is worth what someone is willing pay. It's a broad statement, but someone might only be willing to pay $200... while someone else would be willing to pay $500. Me personally, $300 is about as high as I would go on a pup. If I was paying $500+, I would be expecting to get a nice started pup/h...

The weather was perfect for running this morning. We got an inch or two of snow over the night. Unfortunately, I'm at work... Lol!
