No, I think you should re-read it..you must have a heck of a rabbit population in your area if you would like to see an all out rabbit slaying in your area? Hunts that require a person or team to kill the most turn a great thing into a wrong thing, it also prevents brushpile kickers from entering. No matter if you bring in 6 rabbits or 1, everyone has a chance to win. And just a side note, not one rabbit at this event is wasted, as they are donated to a few families in need. A comment like you just made, is a awesome way to get anti's fired up enough to mess up a great event for an even greater cause of helping some young girls fighting various forms of cancer. There is already groups trying to outlaw even fishing derbies that sure could use help in doing so. We have enough problems in NY.

Again, I thank the hundreds of hunters and our sponsors for making this a very successful event for the last several years, and wish all, a safe and fun day for this years derby!

Great Derby for a Great Cause. Awsome to see how a bunch of beaglers can raise a bunch of money for a good cause and doing what we love doing. We had good runs all day dispite frigid cold and blowing snow. And nice to see the cup back in the USA..!!!... Lol Congrats to all

Thanks to the hundreds that came on a bitter Buffalo NY, night to support a great cause. We raised ove $5000 to insure that kaelys Kindness Foundation, continues to provide resourses for teen girls LIVING with cancer! Congrats to Team G-Dawg from Eden NY, who brought the Golden rabbit, back to the United States! Team Canada, came in 2nd by 2/10ths of an ounce less than the G-Dawgs 3.62lb cottontail! Both teams donated back their prize money! A class act bunch of rabbit hunters for sure! See you all Next january for the 8th annual! Thanks again!
