mastoiditis/beagles

Post by dbowling »

doc my female had pups 3 years ago and about a year later she had a small lump on mammary gland, ive had 3 other females that had the same thing after having pups and the vet said not to worry about it that it was a fibotous tumor and alot of females get them.last summer she started gaining weight like crazy compared to my other beagles and i cut back on feed and that helped, but her tits started almost dragging the ground like she was getting ready to have pups.i thought she might be having a false pregnancy, to make along story short after running them for awhile she leaned back up and looked pretty much normal except for small lump, hunted her all season and was fine, about amonth ago she started to gain weight again and now looks like a walking basketball and in the last week she looks like her tits have tripled in size look like cow udders and they are all red and sore, she yelps if i touch them.i cant get into the vet until tommorow evening and was wondering if you have any ideas.im hoping its not cancer or something like that, she looks like shes retaining alot of water and seems overly thirsty. thanks, dean
