Here is a link for dogfood ratings, they also list why foods are rated what they are as well. Many of the foods that we feed are listed as 1* including the one that I use and many other top brands that folks on here swear by.
Food for thought.
That site has been on here a while back, ratings are kind of biased, some of the 3 and 4 stars have same ingredients listed in same order as 1 and 2 star.
Jar242,
Do you know of any other "ratings" sites that you would consider unbiased, if so please share them with us as we are all here to learn. I found that site gave reasons for placing dogfoods where they were placed.

No I haven't but I've seen some good articles written and I'll try to post the link if I can find them, you can figure by that site if it's not organic or some other off the wall stuff, it's no good, all I'm saying is, I've read through a lot of that and it says the same thing about every food. They want you to have meat, but they say every food that has meat as first ingredient especially chicken is not good because it is cooked and is mostly water or something like that. I've never cooked a chicken and only get 20% of the advertised weight, lol, that's all I was saying.
That seems like some good info at a glance and I will try to read more when I get a chance.
I gather that the 20% means by the time it is reduced to kibble, not what you and I are eating after we cook it.
Just because it is on the internet or a beagling or whatever website does not make it gospel. Just trying to learn and provide the best for my hounds at a reasonable price.
Good input, lets try to keep it going.
