Extra teeth

Post by beagle crazy »

I have a pup that's almost a year old and still has his upper canine baby teeth. I'm thinking they need pulled as does my vet. Ever have this happen? Did they eventually come out on their own, or did you have to have them pulled? Just looking for advice before I spend $$$$.

The milk teeth should come out on their own. I have gotten pups near a year old that still had them. I would try a pair of pliers before I would spend a lot of money. Once the gums stop bleeding, the dog will be glad you got the tooth out! Just be sure you pull the milk teeth and not the permanent ones!

I don't know about doing it myself, they seem pretty tight. I got the extra bottom one out with my thumb- no problem, but the upper ones are in there tight. The vet said $100, so I'm thinking that's not too bad. Unless you'll do it for $50 ??
