An old timer told me after 3 or 4 days of hard hunting he would give his dogs some vitamins and an asprin or tylenol to help with their muscles. I had a vet tell me once to give my pups some childrens benedryl for alergys. I know it helps me after a long day of carring 4 or 5 rabbits on my back. Could it help them?

Do not give your dog tylenol. It has a very negative effect on the liver. Try baby aspirin if anything. Vitamins might not hurt, they pee out whatever is not needed. A good quality balanced diet with some fresh veg and meat would be the best ongoing help for a hard working dog. Carolyn

I used to have an old dog that on the end of her life had hip problems, the vet suggested baby asprin.
As for benadryl, I used it once when our hounds got a bunch of stings from a wasps nest, the vet recommended that over the phone but I would be careful using human meds on pets.
