Puppy shots Doc please answer

Doc I'm cautious every since I had one pup out of a litter of six die for parvo 3 years ago. How long should I wait after their first shot if I think one doesn't have a normal stew like the rest to have it check by my vet for parvo. Remember I got rid of the old puppy kennel and have kept them off the ground so far. I do every want to see another one die that horrible death.
