Safegard liquid goat wormer?

Post by Rcoff »

Any one ever used Safeguard Goat liquid 10 per cent to worm thier dogs? I read on the net to use 1 cc per 5 lbs body weight for 3 days straight, every other month. He says it kills all 4 types of worms, hook, whip, tape, and round,
(not heart worms). Anyone have success with this?
Thanks,
Bob

Yep your info is right on.
Expecting a carjacker or rapist or drug pusher to care that his possession or use of a gun is unlawful is like expecting a terrorist to care that his car bomb is taking up two parking spaces

you got the info right, some info like the little black book says to use 1cc per 4.4 pounds but like read anywhere, this is a weak wormer that works meaning you can does heavy but don’t use it every time because the worms could get use to it and not have the proper effect of the worms. you should try using something stronger every other worming.

Why 3 days in a row? I had 1 dog with tape worms which he expelled the first day, none after that. Why not worm 10 days later after the eggs hatch to kill new born worms like other wormers?
Thanks,

My understanding is alot of your tape wormers will only kill the body the 1st worming and leaves the head to grow thats why some wormers you give 3 days in a row the 2nd and 3rd days of worming gets rid of them.

Just read through my "little black book" and realized he said to worm 1ml per 4.4 lbs of body weight given orally, three consecutive days in a row, and TWICE DAILY... wow that means I’ve been under dosing…big time :???:

Three consecutive days in a row, twice daily? That would be six doses?

Yes, Six doses and DO NOT underdose - you can cause worm resistance.

I was told to double dose 1st does say 1cc per 5lbs on a 25 ilb hound === 12cc 1st day and 2 days follow up with 6cc per dose and have had sucess JMO and ? does this stand to reason to the more knowledgeable folks? use to only worm em with it 1ce every 3 months and never had any problems?
