Cushings

Post by imagine1701 »

My dog's liver values have been elevated for some time. He's been on Marin or equivalent suppliments for some time. The doctor wants to put him on Lysodren 500 mg for a week or however long it takes for him to react to find out what the maintenance amount should be. Is there a natural way to treat Cushings?

No, but by keeping the dogs weight down, limit water intake. My older female has cushings, at fisrt she looked very bad, espically in the heat. Put her on a wieght mngt food, little water. Walk her in am or after sundown. In 6 months, my girl looks great, still can hunt, but only half days, than she gets real tired.
