Pup with Growth on eye

I have a pup that has a pink fleshy growth in the corner of his eye near his nose. What is this, and how do I get rid of it? How much will it cost at the vets office.

Sounds like "cherry eye." It's a relatively minor surgery, but I don't know about the cost.
