Dog not acting right for the last week or so; lethargic, hunching up, etc. Decided to take him in to the vet this morning and they did X-rays and found what appears to be two small bone fragments logged in his stomach from something he ate. Not sure where he got them from as I feed kibble and wasn't aware of him getting into any carcasses while running, but anyways they want to do surgery to remove them. Anyone else every had anything like this? I thought dogs were able to digest and break down bones no problem? They said he'd be out 6 weeks if they did surgery.
