hair loss

A number of kennels in the area have had a problem during this very humid spell we have had lately with hair loss, especially on pups. It is not the normal problems we have seen and it comes on very fast. The vets are prescribing the generic version of cipro 10 days to 2 weeks saying that it is a staph infection. Any other ideas?

Thanks. Not tried that before. We have never had this problem in our kennel before. We think it started for us when we hauled our dogs with some that developed the problem before we did.
