Wont bark on trail

I have a 14 month old beagle that I am having trouble getting trained. I worked with her alot last year and running her with my older dog thinking that she might pick it up quicker. My older dog that was 13 passed away in the spring so i spent alot of time this summer trying to get her to run a rabbit. If i jump a rabbit for her and she gets right on the track and goes right where i saw the rabbit run but she wont bark. I have been working with her on the weekends and she just wont open up and i dont know why. I was little when i got my first beagle and we just ran her with my uncles and she picked it right up. I have been looking for a trained dog to buy but havent had anyluck yet. i Just want her to be able to run a rabbit,not worried about how fast she is or anything. Any tips on what to do?
