Getting another Beagle

I was thinking of getting another Beagle this Summer so that our original Beagle had someone to play with while we are gone during the day. Our Beagle is very much a house pet and a favorite of everyone. I am concerned that he will feel jealous if we get another Beagle ... Has anone introduced new dogs to your Beagle before? He loves other dogs, but not sure what he will do when the new dog is part of the family....
