Just getting some advice. I have a young dog that is coming along exceptional. One Problem with him he cant take the heat. I went to the vet and had him checked out completly and they have not found any health problems. A friend of mine suggested salting his food. I have been doing this and he has come out of it. I am concerned though that I will over do it. Has anyone ever placed a salt block in their kennel? This would allow the dog to get what he wants. Any suggestions. The dog is doing great with the salt I have not had any problems. He seems to have been unable to retain water, so this has cured it. Has anyone heard of this, the dog will go all day long during the winter but when the temp hit >50 degrees it was taking several trips to get him acclimated. Know he seems to be just like the other dogs. If not heard of then I hope it helps with others who experienced the same problem.

hey
we have the salt wheels for the dogs hanging in the kennels for them to lick. The vet told us to do it for when we go south to hunt thier and its hotter than here. to help then stay hydrated. We let them lik as much as they need.
