I am by no means a carpenter, but its a good start. Ive just framed it up right now. All of my runs are 3ft high, 3 ft wide, 8 ft long. Im going to be putting a tin/metal roof over to keep rain/snow away from the dogs. the sides are easy, got the fencing for that. the only issue i havent come up with is the floor, but will most likely go with flooring i keep seeing on the sites, greenhouse top or whatever its called. the white outlines on my shed are the spots for doggy doors where my boxes will be inside, where it will be heated for the cold winters up here. any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated. thanks guys.

Well got to do some work today on the kennel. We had our monthly work party at Mohawk Beagle Club yesterday so today was the only day i could work on it really. got a lot more bracing to do and a bit of work on the support for the wire. After i finish getting the wire on each kennel side, I will be doing the doors on the front and then going onto the doing my roof. Then ill be able to do the doggy doors and dog boxes inside the barn. heres some updated pics.

The flooring is the Greenhouse benchtop flooring. For the 3 8 foot runs and the 5 ft puppy pen it was 191.20 with shipping. its worth the extra money to me. Seems much easier on their paws, they like to lay on it, and bacteria doesnt stick to this. Everything falls right through it.

Ken, thanks for the comment. Never built anything in my life actually, this is my first time. I just remember the rule measure twice cut once. Ive been planning this out for about 4 months though. Im putting the roof and front doors on and the rest of the wire sides next week and then all thats left is the boxes inside the barn and the doggy doors. The hounds love it on that floor, they jump up and lay on it all day

Im by no means an experienced kennel builder but just a heads up I tried using that fence that you have there and I had to patch it all the time I had a male go right through 2 walls of it to a female in heat in under an hour.

That could be an issue for some but my dogs dont try to get out, and worst case if i did, they are inside their exercise pen still. I was just planning on bracing the wire with more 2x4s and making it more sturdy then going back through with a heavy duty staple gun and tacking it down.
