My new kennel start

Boys I've thought about this kennel for over 6 months I have absolutely mad my self sick thanking so much and finally the weather has broke and wormed up her in Kentucky :cool: I have spent most of the day building my new kennel I have used all treated wood ;) it's costly but I hope to get at least 40 years out of the kennel . Her is the kennel I got started on . Tell me what you think .

Looks like a good start, I would have gone a little higher to make cleaning crap out from under easy.

I'm putting my kennel on 6 by 6 runners where I can pull it around it should work good. We have the same design for my home made hay rings and you can drag them any where .

Thats going to be a real nice kennel. Where did you get the flooring and was it expensive ?

Thanks I bought my flooring from Gothic arch green house shipping and all was 187 dalliers for 9 piece of the flooring 2 foot by 4 foot . I hope it last me a life time I've spent a lot of money on this kennel

A lot of people is asking about the materials to build a kennel like this. It will coast around 1000 bucks I used all treated lumber if used other lumber you could cut the price. Her is what you will need to build a kennel like this one.

4. 3/4 inch ply wood

4. 12 1/2 foot metal tin
4. 6x12 kennel panels
9. Green house flooring
12 pounds. 16 galv deck nails
2. Pounds. 6 galv nails

That flooring is the best thing since slice bread.I hardley ever have to spray it out poo fall right thru.(JMO)if you put thoams water seal on it it will give you even more life.Even when i did not have the money to go with all treated i would use reagular wood and seal it ever year.Does real well,nice looking kennel.
