horse mats for kennel floors

Has anyone ever used horse mats for kennel floors? I think they will keep beagles clean. Pros and Cons?

I've been using cut up rubber horse mats and they seem to be working well

if you do not pitch them and lay them real flat the water and pee will puddle on them and make more of a mess . but if you have a dog that likes to dig it stops them from digging out'
