hey danny he is out of buddy's iron eagle and a ninja bitch i believe. talk to john roe he has a pup off of him right now that he really likes. i think he said that she is 14 1/2. he liked her better than all those other 8 or 9 pups that he had. he liked her so well that he bred his leggs female to him. pups are due in a few weeks. he is a full 15 inch hound and so is leggs.

p.s. we went up there and watched him run. very fat and out of shape he waxed everything's ass that we had on the ground.

Rev. Mitchell shipped dogs all over the world, many to Japan. I lost contact with him when he moved to Athens, La. He was up in age then and had gotten into the cattle buisness. He was President of Acadiana Beagle Club for many years and loaned the club money to set up a new club house and acquire new running grounds. I became President of Acadiana when he moved and served for 5 years and with the help of his loan we prospered to the great club Acadiana is today.

Thanks Rev. Mitchell

John

A few years ago I called and spoke to rev mitchell. very nice man and he invited me to come and run hounds with him he told me I had a place to stay for as long as I wanted to stay and we would run hounds and go cat fishing. I think I would had enjoyed this if I would have went back then, he told me about his hounds that he ran and that I would be very pleased with mine if I just keep feeding him rabbit tracks. How right he was.

Rev. Mitchell

Post by John Taylor »

A legend in Beagling is gone.

Rev. William Mitchell passed away on August 25th. Rev. Mitchell sereved as president of Acadiana Beagle Club for a couple of years, although he didn't make all of the club meetings while he was president because of relocating to Arcadia, Louisiana, he was there to help the club prosper. I was Vice president of the club and communicated with him and with his guidance was able to take Acadiana from being broke and without a clubhouse to a prosperous club again.

The Club was broke and had just lost it's clubhouse. Rev Mitchell lent the club $1500 dollors to help acquire a new clubhouse, dig a well and lease new grounds. Some of the membership paid their dues for a 5 year period boasting available funds and within 1 year we were on our feet again and paid the Rev. and prospering again and have never looked back. The club will always grateful for his help.

Rev. Mitchell was owner of Lee Bayou Kennels and shipped Beagles to several differant countries. Several to Japan and Canada. I can't recall the other countries. He will be missed by all who knew him.
