LOOKING FOR 14" TO 15" BLUETICK STUD HOUND

Post by Helpful Houndsman »

Searching for a 14 inch to 15" OPEN MARKED bluetick stud. Must have superb hunt and desire and a big nose with the brains to use it correctly. Prefer an upper medium to fast footed hound. Also just because the dog has a few ticks on him doesn't make him a bluetick.

I AM NOT INTERESTED IN ANYTHING OUT OF TURBO, NORTHWAY, OR T-REX, WHETHER IT'S UP CLOSE OR 30 GENERATIONS BACK!!!!!!

I don't mean to be an a$$, but if you don't have what I'm looking for then don't waste your time or mine with a post.

I'm thinking Mike Crabtree might have one too but not sure .

If you're looking for Branko blood here's a nice one

Digger is a full littermate to FTC Branko's Dudley Do Right . Digger is owned by my 1st cousin
Donnie Fletcher and is currently being ran here by me on my spare time .

You can view one of his littermates on Branko's web site http://www.brankosbeagles.com/atstud.html
who is currently in the US being finished to become a IFC .

Born 3/09/2004 AKC,UKC & NKC registered .

SIRE: BRANKO'S LUMBERJACK (Jack of all Trades)
UKC CH Branko's Rabbit Grave Digger
DAME: BRANKO'S HURRICAN HATTIE (Heli Prop)

With what little I've ran digger , he seems to have the complete package to get it
done in UKC , AKC and I believe NKC .

Mobster, I'll pass on anything Vansickle has.

Jude,
Thanks and I'm sure that Digger is all good and stuff. But two things he's not 14 to 15" and more so he's not a bluetick hound. Crabtree's dog is Northway on bottomside and isn't open marked either.

UHHHHH you better measure again :bash: . Once you find the color you're looking for
bring it up here or go to Mike in VA and we'll show you what your dog lacks  .
Just kidding

Goodluck finding what you want ;) .

Looks small in the picture... may be the way he's posed. Littermate is 13" hound... oh well. Ain't bluetick so can't really see why you offered him in the first place since the subject heading did say BLUETICK STUD HOUND. While you were only joking, as for your offer, given what bloodlines you run I'm sure you couldn't show me anything the last 1000 tried to show me in the past 15 years. On the other hand you may get showed what yours is lacking. If you're happy with Turbo and Northway fine, but honestly I find them to be severely lacking when it comes to what I consider a rabbit hound.

If anyone else has any suggestions, please read the subject heading and what I'm looking for... rather than waisting my time. I pretty much have two studs in mind anyhow. Was just curious to see if there were anything else out there. Obviously from the lack of serious posts, evidently not.

Jimmie... Of the Turbo and Northway hounds I've seen. 99% of them lack patience, concentration, brains, and line control, nor have a clue where point of loss is to say the least.

Maybe I haven't seen the "great ones" out of these lines, because I'm seeing things total opposite out of all the onion sacks people on these message boards continue to blow up. Who knows maybe I'm just seeing these dogs on their bad day at the 15 to 20 trials I hit a year. I realize what I'm probably seeing is a small percentage of the total that's out there, but the small percentage doesn't convince me to waist time to see the others.

As for what a bluetick should possess, nothing more than any other good dog should. And I'm the first to admit color doesn't run a rabbit. Just personnel preference of color of hound I prefer. Color wise it takes more than a couple ticks on a dogs leg or their chest for me to consider them a bluetick.

Most of the Blueticks I've seen run fast with ok line controll for the speed they are going, they are hot on the Hare. Looks like you prefer a slower dog that tracks ground scent more, as it is farther behind the rabbit. Not alot of Blueticks I've seen run that way. However I never seen those Blackticks run ( possibly called blue) by some people. Most blueticks up here are open marked or Tri colored Branko or Ninja stuff.
