Just a guess,
Everett Morgan from Kentucky uses "Appalachian Mt." as his kennel name.
IF this hound was bred by Mr Morgan then his sire would be either Appl. Mt. Scout, Appl. Mt. Jay, or possibly Cotton Country Blue Eagle?
Mr Morgan runs the weir creek / skull fork dogs.
Otherwise, this hound is just from the hills of the Appalachians.
