One more thing. Jamie Hilbert is the president of some club up in western Kentucky. They run AKC Mid-west SPO at his club and for some reason Jamie bought a pup out of Pleaser. Why would he do that?

The mother was a daughter to IFC Taylor's Sock it to me and Funcks Little Bell. Her name is Bear Mtn. to Me Princess. She's owned by Terry Tapley of Journey's End Kennels. The same breeding that a lot of the Sock it to me dogs in Ky came from, including the Gunner dog.

Kent and Guest,
Would you mind letting me know what the dam and sire of your dogs were so I can avoid the backtrailing and extra mouth in the check area in the future. I don't want pups from that particular breeding for sure.
You can post it here or send me an e-mail or give me a call.

Please just get in touch with me in one of these ways. Always like to know if I'm dealing with a credible source or not.
The people that I have talked to about Pleaser or any other Sock it to me dog, I know by name at least and usually have met them and been to their kennels.

Thank you in advance and I appreciate everyone's input. :)

I see where Mr. Latimer belongs to the Western Kentucky Beagle Club that Jamie Hilbert is at as well.

I saw at least 3 names on that list that all ran sock it to me blood. Now maybe the Pleaser dog is as you say, but I don't know that you can lump all the "to me" blood in there.

Thanks for the heads up though. It does make me dig in there and do some more homework.

Clouse, we will be leaving around noon or a little before. It takes about 3 hours or so to get to Jamie Hilberts from here and he won't be off work until later in the day. See ya then.

The Mid-West Association's 2003 13" female High Hound of the Year and the Overall High Hound of the Year - her sire - New Country Gambler. Also the 2003 15" Male High Hound of the Year's sire - New Country Gambler. Gambler is Sock It To Me bred through and through. Pretty good trial record and reproducing record! :D

The hound on the right in this photo is To-Me bred and he didint backtrack a single one of these rabbits. ;)

Hey Wild Bill Hickup, thanks for the correction, sorry DarrinG. You have some awesome looking hounds, James has told me about them. I would like to see them run sometime. I have a pup out of Tabascos Cayan and Blue Banks Pleaser, she is going to be a pistol!

Kent, thanks for the info. I aint and never hope to be "kennel blind". I'm sure there's dud's out there from every bloodline or cross thats made (including the "To-Me" line). If someone tells me they have a "superior" line that has no faults out there, I wanna buy one!

Clouse, thanks for the compliments. :)

I picked up a few issues of The Rabbit Hunter I had lying close by and flipped through some of the LP Trial results looking to see if any Pleaser dog has placed there. Here's what I found:

Smith's Weedeater Dan: Sire - FC Blue Banks Pleaser

3rd - Bluegrass Beagle Club - 3/20/04
3rd - Edmonson Co. Beagle Club - 3/27/04
10th - Edmonson Co. Beagle Club - 4/17/04
9th - Mid-KY Beagle Club - 4/24/04
10th - Mid-KY Beagle Club - 9/18/04

Galloway's To-Me Bubba: Sire - FC Blue Banks Pleaser

6th - Purchase Area Beagle Club - 6/12/04

That was just a few I found from 4-5 magazines containing hunt results. Could maybe be more, maybe not...thats just a few I quickly found.

Hope this helps some. :)
