Looking for information on the following lines: Little Irelands, White Acres, Ellers and Bedlam. Specific dogs I want to know about are White Acre's Designer Label and Bedlam Jezzibel. I would like to hear what anyone has to say about these lines in regards to size, speed, line control etc. Thanks in advance.

speedwise, theyd be a step or two slower than your dogs mike. i think Joe West probably has the most "pure" little ireland dogs around today. he used to be on the boards a lot. do a search for him on here and you can probably get ahold of him.

i think Tommy Vinsom (sp?) used to have a lot of Bedlam dogs, but im not sure how to get ahold of him.

Brian,
The pup I have is out of Hubbard's Mid Ohio Nick, who I seen run and was upper medium speed, he actually out ran Dozer. The pups dam is out of Pee Wee Griz and Hubbard's Shotgun Sally. Her name was Congo Coal Dust. I ran the dam and the sire of this pup with Dozer, Tarmac, and Dusty. The lineup was first in pack Nick, Dozer, Congo, Tarmac and Dusty. Ran about 2 hours and they kept this line up the whole time. Nick was in the front the whole time. I think they bred for speed on this pup. I hope anyway, she has a beautiful confirmation as well. I am more worried about the size as she seems to be a 13-14" dog.

sounds like good dogs. with the outcrossing, sounds like they did get more speed.

The Bedlam Beagles are owned by Mandy Bobbit of VA. The Bobbits have a large mix of the Gay and Little Ireland as well as others. I have run with them many times. Altough not as hard hitting as some dogs they are not at all slow and have very good confirmation. The Bobbits hounds are parts of organized packs that run in the pack trials. They are very interesting to run with and observe the way their hounds handle as many never even wear a collar and all the years i have run with them i have never seen them carry a lead.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I see a lot of Ireland's and Gay in her pedigree as well as Bedlam. How big were the dogs you seen? Some of the Bedlam in here ped are Bedlam Tiger Talk, Bedlam Beulah and Bedlam Jonquil. Anyone seen any of these dogs or know about them?

I bought my first beagle from Bill "Outlaw" Eller of N. Carolina quite a while ago. She was bred to his Eller's Charlies Ranger, and that was my start in beagles and rabbit hunting. His main stud dog at the time was Eller's Outlaw Midnight. You should have a pretty good rabbit dog, the breeding is there, keep 'em running!
