I have a slim male that is full spur. He is still a young hound but is the hardest hunting dog that I own. I give him that title because he has total disregard for the well being of his body. He is a bloody pulp after a day in the field. He runs a good track and has a chop mouth. This dog is still young but he gives me so much to work with I believe I will just go ahead and feed him for a while.

most everything in my kennel is old northway stock, and a lot of the pure northway or with a little roundpond. im fortunate to have several friends that still have dogs straight out of northway jumpmaster, milts woodstock rockstar, grandpups out of driver ect. most of these good ol' stud dogs are getting up there in years and im looking at the new northway. i like this blood, just awsome hunt and stamina. ive got dogs that i have run for more than 8 hours and still hunting hard. its hard to find that.

Kytrapper i am curious to why you call it new Northway? When billy & slim where both from driver,i guess you might be talking about new stud dogs to breed to.From what i've seen the style of hound hasn't changed none.those old hounds you mentioned are all gone now,so it left up to their offspring to carry on their blood IMO

Mike,
I have to give this little male a slight edge on them. He is just a bloody mess when I pick him up after a day in the field. I hope he makes a good hound because I cant imagine what the hunt would be like crossing him and Gracie.

:D I talked to Wayne. I am going to breed Northway Blue Bell to old Rex as soon as she comes in.He has tried every way to buy her from me since I sent him a Picture and pedigree of her. If her pups dont hunt hard Im coming looking for you.

Paul Neel in Chesapeak, Ohio has a blue chip male out of Slim and his Sampson female. He has a tremendous amount of hunt and runs to catch. He's a big musclular red and white male. Paul had to dock his tail a couple days ago because of the blood loss. His bitch line is very solid too.
