Wayne Gross has a young male out of Ausible River Mogen David that should be what you are looking for. He is grosswdg on this board. The male is listed in the Pup section here.

I too have a Ausable River bitch and she is a hard hunting , fast , clean dog. I really like that bloodline but hard to find sometimes.

I own FC Deaton's Bo (Branko) and I bred him to a Spicers Blueback/Hanks JoJo Blue bitch and she's due to drop pups the 17th/18th (this coming weekend). Bo is the dog in my avatar next to my username. Both Bo and Spice are upper med./fast dogs, EXCELLENT line control, hard hunters. Bo has a real loud squall mouth and Spice has a REALLY loud chop mouth.

Let me know if you are interested in a pup, I'd love to see them all go to hunters/trialers. There are several guys on this board who can vouch for the parents. I got Little Spice off Scott Smitha and he can tell you how good she was before I bought her, well she's gotten a lot better since :)

Noticed you said run-to-catch... My dogs caught one Fri. when we were hunting, of course, Spice wasn't there since she is almost ready to whelp, but they usually catch a couple per season. That was #3 this year. I would rate my pack an 8.5 on a scale of 1-10.

Ken,
Levi is turning out to be a very fast male. he is a solid 15" dog now that looks like a body builder. He just keeps getting faster everytime out. Branko's/Turbo's are dogs that seem to hit that second gear around 2 years old. You just never know what you really have until you give them a chance. You can't judge a dogs true speed unitl they are at least 2.

Check out the blueback pups!! There is a nice female on here for sale that well have some speed for sure!

I don't think they will be 15" pups, but I'm not sure. Should have mentioned that. Bo is an AKC official measured 12 1/2" and Spice is 13 1/2".

Theres a Hound In Indiana that Chris Spall owns named Trull's More Money Moe that is one of the best if not the BEST run to catch hound I've ever seen. I had Moe for a couple of months and he not only ran to catch he caught rabbits on a regular basis. Very good foot,he also is a great track hound he could run on snow or bare ground, cottentails or hare and one of the busyest hounds alive. Don't know if Chris is breeding him to anything yet but if he throws half of what he is they will be nice ones to own. I had a litter mate to him also that was catching Rabbits at 8 months of age.

Ken,
Get in touch with Duke on here and go watch his Dutch dog run. I have never seen him myself, but a few guys i run with have and they all say he is the real deal. Good speed, tons of hunt, and listens like a dream.

My input his this: He is out of Coty's Blue Bogus. Greg Brown owns him down close to you. I would go to Dutch's sire to try and duplicate the breeding, but i don't think you can go wrong with either Bogus or Dutch. The blueback pups seem to be easy to start and have a ton of foot right off the bat. They run with that nose up style that i think your looking for. If you bred Ivy across either Dutch or Bogus you would have a very nice cross of hunt and speed.

Talk to Rneil. Ivy's pup Doyle is showing some really good speed now, so she is throwing the right traits too.

I have been watching this blueback stuff for about a year now and i'm very happy with everything i have seen. Run a search on here, there is tons of info!!!!

Good luck,
Steve
