Tell Me About These Dogs.....

...on the ancestry of your new hound? This is your forum. Post your question and others will fill in the blanks for you. This is also a good forum for asking about particular hounds and bloodlines (past or present) when considering a breeding or purchase, or just breeding questions in general.

Sport pup are doing real well in NY.....hard hitting, hard hunting pups.....AS far as smokey goes......you couldn't give her to me......gun shy, big time I have seen this first hand. But as a LP dog where they don't shoot over them she can run the crap out of a rabbit.

Not At All....

I'm a believer that sometimes we make dogs gun shy.... Something learned can't be passed... Thats like me earning that 2+2=4..... Just because i know it doesn't mean my son will know it at birth.....

By the way guest.... You have a name....?
I'd rather people not talk to me directly without giving a name....

IFC Beaver Pond Branko ---> Branko had an exceptional Snow Nose, and also use it well when conditions where hot and dry. Loved the front of the pack. Loads of hunt and desire. Produced some excellent gundogs. Faults were extra mouth, and a little rough at times. When he was on he was on. Branko died about two weeks ago, at the age of 14 I believe. Branko was a 13" hound.

Beaver Pond Vance was IFC Beaver Pond Branko's Sire. Vance was also an excellent Snow Hound. In my opinion I preferred Vance over Branko. Vance was a cleaner hound. Vance also produced some excellent Gundogs. Vance was a 14" hound. Vance loved Deer.

Branko's Happy Pam was Branko's Dam. Not much to say about Pam. She had lack of stamina or desire. Pam could run a hare when she wanted to.

A friend of mine has a male out of Vance, called Beaver Pond Danny. Danny's dam was one of the best 13" females I have ever seen run, she had it all. Danny is about 10 yrs old now. Joey does not promote him, but some of us around here have pups and he is a producer with limited breeding. I made sure that Danny is in my blood line.

If you want to see what is placing out of Danny, go to the Canadian website. If you need more info e-mail me ricgou@together.net
