Beagle missing in Michigan

Post by imagine1701 »

Does anyone know if there are resources or businesses that can be hired to find your missing beagle? California has such a resource and though I'm trying very hard to find my beagle who went missing Oct 31, 2004, I feel that I could use more help and that there's just something I'm missing. Thanks.

We are in the process of having micro-chips implanted in all our dogs. The cost is $10.00 per dog. The paperwork is registered nationally and if dog is found and someone (vet, animal shelter) scan the dog the number will always come back to you. We found a dog here in Indianapolis Indiana that belonged to someone in Arkansas. I am sure the people were really surprised to hear their dog had made it this far and who knows how. They did get their dog back. People who steal hunting dogs and use them for the season then dump them should be prosecuted to the extent of cattle or horse thiefs. I would suggest that anyone who catches someone around their kennel at night uninvited be shot. My story is going to be that I confronted the person and they reached in their pocket and I feared they were reaching for a weapon. One member of this board emailed me saying he must keep his dogs in the house because so many hunting dogs are comming up missing.

Did the dog get lost hunting or did somebody steel it from your home? If you could give us some more details, we could keep our eyes open for it.

Shenara

She was in the yard and someone opened the gate (as the little kids are keen to do here in my neighborhood which is why I usually padlock it but was setting up for Halloween). She went missing on October 31, 2004 between 11 am - 1pm. We have a group by the name of petfinder calling 20 blocks within the area. We have posters up and newspaper ads done. We are going to put more flyers out in stores of all kinds in several cities and to vets. We will be contacting and visiting animal shelters in the vicinity. Are there other resources I can use or someone I can hire to retrieve her? Thanks, Folks.
