RABBIT PENS

Post by ANTHONY KERR »

NC beagler I live about 1 mile from Larrys 35 acre pen and about 2 miles from the 100 acre pen. I run near the big one. He is using the older one as a deer breaking pen. I am not sure about the big one I know he had it logged recently. Larry still has a bunch of good dogs from what I hear. Let me know when you want to run I'll be ready.
BJK glad to hear you are still kicking. Ready to get rid of any Awful Bawlin stuff yet ? The little Lucy girl is showing my so called vetrans how to jump rabbits.
Big Head I think I am ready to run with you I've been recruiting hard and running a little wild when I get the chance ! I am going dog running in the morning rain or shine. Looks like the whole day will be good. Might listen to the Wolfpack later on. Go State !
Where's the earth shattering kaboom ?

Steve,
Person Beaglers is what was left of Prospect Hill Beagle club. Pete Tuck kept the little pack side alive and we are making it OK so far, but we need some members and Beagles in the hunts.

Anthony
yea the WOLFPACK is my almamater. some guys around are interested in sterting a faster spo dog club mwgda style.i noticed you have some their breeding . it's possible to make person county into a dual arha /akc club.at least akc let's you hold trials in a stocked pen if you choose.as scarce and rabbits can be this is the best route.most clubs that have pens clear $3000 or better/trial from the big entries a pen brings and food sales.you think Bowes has the rabbits or shows the interest in such.Steve

Hey to my fellow NC beaglers, glad to see you on here. I'm fairly new to rabbit hunting/ beagles but eager to learn. I recently moved to Smithfield and was wondering if anyone has a beagle for sale anywhere near me. I have 1 dog currently and I am ashamed to say it but he is a beagle/ basset mix. He will hunt and run rabbits by himself but when another pack of dogs comes around he forgets hunting and just wants to socialize. He is the only dog we have and getting rid of him and starting over is not an option. I think if I get him a partner things will go better. I don't know much about speed but I guess I need a slow dog to go with him. I'm going to have to get shock collars too because he runs deer too. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, RK

I know of a Fox pen south of Lumberton but is it near Fairmont, Boardman, Marietta or Fair Bluff? It would be nice to have a good pen to run in near by. What does he charge and how many dogs will he work with at one time. Rsknascarman I have three pup's I may sell but they are going to be fast and around 14 to 15 inches. There grand pa is Turbo Powered by Prop and there great grand pa is Turbo on the bitch side.
