I was lucky tonight

Post by bunnie harvester »

Went to run tonite with Waterboy and we had a rabbit in about 3 minutes, they ran hard in THICK BRIARS, then the bunnie ran for the green soy bean field, that was a chase to be seen,LOVED every second of it, we just watched and was amazed how they stacked up and totally controled that bunnie, finally it went back in the thicket and they still pounded Mr Bunnie, well as all good things ,we had to pull them off the bunnie, school wants ya outa there buy dark, toned in the dogs and my new Homebrew male was without his collar, Well we loaded the other dogs and Waterboy started into the thicket and I went up the edge, replacement of right knee 4 months ago don`t allow ya in the cover, well we both got in there finally and LORD ,THANK YOU Waterboy heard the beep, he got in the nasty briars and got it... :D I WILL NEVER RUN THEN COLLARS AGAIN WITHOUT A QUICK LINK CONNECTER
I guess I was as about as lucky as a man can get this time ,3 years ago I lost my single and it cost me $154.00 to get another one, so I`m a slow learner, NEVER AGAIN......................

They are at most tack shops or hardware stores, they are different sizes, oval and have a threaded nut type thing that you can thead it tight ,hook it to the center ring in the dogs collar..........$1.00 each

i was lucky also had my best female get her hind leg stuck in the top rung of a fence she was in bad shape when i found her. Just lucky I had a pair of pliers to cut her loose she was pretty freaked out I had to throw my shirt over her head to keep her from really tearing me up she was biting at anything close. But she is fine I doctored up her cut and she wanted to go run some more.

2 years ago we was rabbit hunting on public land during deer season.People around this area love a rabbit hunter during gun season.Anyhow we had just turned loose & put my e-collar on my buddies dog.We had killed 3 in this one area.We had hunted in there for around 21/2 hours & decided to go.Just as we hollered for the dogs someone came out of the field & asked if we was runnin' a hound with an e-collar on it because he found it laying in the creek.

I use a zip tie on each and every e-collar i put on the dogs. I thread it though the last hole in the collar, then wrap it around and thread it through another hole to keep it 'tight'.

So is the collar coming undone? Where do you zip tie it - over the buckle area to keep from coming undone?

I run the zip tie thru buckle and collar hole on e-collar and then thru ring on dog collar. If the buckle comes undone the other way it is still dragging the receiver around and it might come off that way .
