It looks like all the hair is rubbed off of its right side. Is that just blood making it look that way?

Guys I think you miss understood. He did'nt shoot the dog. Looks like to me he's got a hard hunter that rubs the hair off his hips while shaking his rear end in the briars. Gotta love that
If you don't breed for hunt sell you're beagles and buy a POODLE AND SOME PERFUME! GUN DOG'S that's all that matters. The rest will fall in place.

most of our dogs are darker, but you can still see that blood on the tail and hips when they come out of the briars.

Dont call PETA yet I didnt shoot him. It was Sarcasm.
He hunts pretty good, and has a whole lot of Tail-Action.

I've noticed my Patch dogs start looking like they have opossom tails and painted sides at the end of the day also. I have to keep assuring my wife they seem to be having fun while their doing that to themselves
. They are always eager to go and seem to be the happiest busting brushpiles and briar patches in hot pursuit.
Feed and hunt what you like!
