FC HILLBILLY BANJO PASSES AWAY
Moderators: Pike Ridge Beagles, Aaron Bartlett
Sorry that you lost him Wilson. I wasnt trying to tell you how to buy dogs, I was just referring to Vansickles comment about people passing bad dogs on to others. I was just saying it is always your responsibility to check out your purchase, just like buying a house. Didnt mean to tell you what to do. I also wish I had room for another one of those Tomahawk pups. My buddy is coming over there this weekend and I sure would have him pick me up one if I had room.

you need to slow your roll bro!!!!!!!!!!!Tim H wrote:danny vansickle, while you put a disclaimer in your post that you weren't accusing anyone of anything you sure post alot of crap about conspiracies without one shred of fact in anything you say. You post that someone poisoned your dog Dozer but never backed that up with any evidence or facts, then you have pups dieing and blame that on vaccines, again no facts, but now you've gone over the edge with this post.
I know both Paul Cox Sr and Jr and they are some of the best people I've ever known. They will tell you how they see it and have the integrity to back up what they say. They would bend over backwards to help another beagler. There were things that happened in Banjos life that you are obviously not aware of. Most would have given up on him early because of what happened but because of the heart in that dog and the people who owned him he ended up a FC.
You say you aren't accusing anyone of anything, then why did you chose to post this on a thread about Banjo?
By the way, I ain't accusing anyone of nothing here.
i didn't accuse anyone of anything,as for dozer,i had a frien email the results of the autopsey to grim and they said they would post it but never did,i have nothing to hide, the pups died of parvo,i had another one get sick the other day and shelled out 200 bucks to save it,dozer died of rat poisoning,i have it in black and white,i carry the paper in my folder to each and every hunt,a lot of people on this board have seen it,you would think one of them would say something in my defense but people love contrivorsey more.
i could care less who sold who what, but i just think it is messed up that two people now are out a ton of cash over something that any vet could have easily diagnosed, when i bought dozer i paid 135 bucks to have blood work,x-rays everything done on him,he was as healthy as a 2 year old was the vets words.
so jump bad all you want, you see me at a trial, ask to see the paperwork on dozer, that goes for anyone who doubts me.

I am truly saddened by the loss of Banjo. He was a very special dog. He was at his best when conditions were at their worst. I saw him at a trial in Berea in October of 2005. The temperature was about 80-85 degrees. It hadn't rained for about a month. Banjo jumped the rabbit and ran solo for about 150-200 yards. The rest of the pack could not even smell enough to run until they got to the shaded creek bank. I do not know about when Wilson bought Banjo, but I know without a doubt that when Paul sold him there was absolutely no indication that anything was wrong with him. I know he was run over at a young age and it messed his hip up pretty bad and if he was run a lot he got pretty stiff.
Again, Sorry for your loss,

I am so sorry to hear about Banjo

Also, I hate to hijack this thread, but I've got to agree with the above quote. She was by no means a big name dog, but in January, I bought a Thorn Gap bred bitch, got a litter of pups out of her of which I kept a little female, no 11 weeks old. Last week this dog died of a ruptured disc in her spine. It was so bad, it was the worst case the Vet had ever seen, and he specifically mentioned to me this was intervertebral disc disease. For her spine to be so bad, he feels that she must have had previous problems. Thats not writ in stone, so I didn't accuse her past owner of anything, but OMG, this was a 3 year old dog
