HOPE so. but it usually has to be around 65 to 68 degrees before they start. Benn to cold here for that.

Had two Ga hunters come to my house this eve, one said he had killed rabbits last of hunting season Feb that had babbies in them. I think I`ll stop shooting them for now.

Chuck are you still breeding them rabbits that I can't run with my mutts? I think they are breeding here in NC.. Saw three dead in the road on the way to hunt Sat. morn that weren't there Friday evening when we came in.. We are finding rabbits in groups and some are making longggg..... runs. Probably the horny bucks roaming the neighborhood...LOL We usually find a few by the end of Feb. with young in them.. It was 65* here today so I guess that explains why all the buck rabbits had a smile on thier face

I can say that here in Va a few years back I had a dog to get into a nest of young rabbits at the end of Jan. I saw that. I have a friend that went to feed his cattle last year the first part of Feb. and when he picked up the round bale with the tractor there was a nest of baby rabbits. I certainly believe that they are breeding now and having litters of young. This probably really picks up in March and April when it gets warmer but there are nests of little ones out there right now from my experience. Alot of them get flooded out this time of year from the rain but if they find a dry place to have them then they can make it now.

Hey CR the reason they are running different directions is to keep out of your frying pan. LOL You have those rabbits trained real good down there. Big Head is still scratching his head on those rabbits. The reputation those rabbits have I'm afraid to come down there. LOL Big Head says he is coming back for some more punishment this year. LOL Good luck to you guys.
