Mike I can't wait to do it again. It was a great week. Yes Dick still has Tango. She is the up and coming dog for Dick. I would bet that she will give old Gunner a workout now. LOL Tango was out of the best Patch male that I have ever had, Lesage Flash and Shine RP. I crossed him to Sugar Ridge Patch Gypsy and got a great return on that cross. I wanted to do it again but Old Flash has since went blind and has missed several breedings I have made to him. Some of the local guys bred to him quite regularly. You know he was doing something when they kept bringing there females back for a second litter. Yes I wish that I had some Tangos around my kennel. LOL Dick has some very nice females. His Ginger female was also up there and she can do a real nice job. She was a little on the shy side with so many new dogs around but when Dick and I run she is usually in the front of the pack. Ginger is out of Sugar Ridge Patch Casey and Sugar Ridge Patch Peaches.
I guess I can still drop mine with yours but I don't know about Charles. I hear that those young dogs that he has now are right tough to run with. LOL Keith says they show him up.
LOL I hope we can all do it again and have some fun like we did the last time. When you fool with the patch line like you and I do it is nice to get together and watch and compare our hounds. I guess we got a little something going on cause I don't hear anyone complaining about the offspring. Nothing is perfect but these ain't too bad.

I have 2 male pups out of Dave Delong's Hammer. They are 9 months old and running very well. I'm going to get a female from Dave soon. I also have an old male I got from Dave named Hash, and I really like him. I want to breed to him because he has a very good nose and very good mouth. He is more deliberate on the line than my pups, but then he is about 9 years old. I had 2 Patch hounds back in the 1970's that were out of Anderson's Patch that I thought the world of. One of them had a steel grey blanket. They were some of the best rabbit dogs I ever saw run, so when I decided to get back into beagles, I went looking for some Patch dogs and heard about Dave Delong. Turns out, he has dogs with a lot of Anderson's Patch in them. I watched his dogs run and liked what I saw. Dave and I are trying to put together a day next week to run and I'm looking forward to it.

Yea old Chuck has some nice ones He has a litter mate male to Gunner. And a couple of females
that only a couple of people have seen them go. But I don't think they have seen what the can really do.
We all are in trouble if he drops those 2 females down.

Keith, you're the one that kicked this off. Of course I was going to invite you!! Hopefully we can find a day that works for everyone before it gets too hot. I've already found a tick on me after running Friday.

yea i have a male out of boss man's brother that is going to get real close to the 15" mark but i am hoping that he stays under. i really don't want a dog to go over the breed standard. i like to trial every now and again but i have had and still have a couple that are over but i just like them to much to kick them out of the kennel YET........... :roll
