Most owl attacks in my neighbors pen result in the head being eaten off. Cats usually eat the back half and leave the head.
Well Your CATS are Different then ours then LOL We have a neighbor that EVERYBODY knows Loves Cats So needless to Say She gets all strays had over 50 at one time And EVERYTIME one got in my pen they Would eat the Front 1/2 and leave the back Just like when they leave you a little gift at the house most Mice you see will be headless.. I Put a Hot wire up around the pen but it Didnt help So got a STRONGER one will see if that helps :yikes: So Far Have a couple dozen Shallow holes behind the barn has helped Some..
NOW the OWLS they Eat it ALL them and the hawks will hardly leave but a little Fur if you look under the surrounding trees or another high point you will find the remains in little piles of Owl poop fur bones ect.. The hawks will usually carry them off. had a Red Fox in the pen And it would usually Eat Right down the backbone from head to the hind quarters like pullin out the backstrap JC actually Seen it Climb the Fence in the corner of the Pen..(Gotta get that 25 miler up)
Oh And the Pole Works Great!!!! Wildlife officer here told me Do what you have to do if they are molesting your Livestock just Dont Advertise it.........
it is eating the front half have probley lost 30 rabbits sence spring thanks guys..
From My Experience I Would Say CATS....They Will Kill just to Kill....
From Field to Show and Show to Field the way it should be

Cage a rabbit up and put the cage right under your trail cam that way the rabbit moving around in your cage doesnt set off the cam just the predator coming in will. You'll have your mystery killers identity in no time.
Take your kids huntin and you wont have to hunt for your kids.

Owls will leave nothing but a gut pile. A perfect gut pile.
