Question about Fresh Chilled Semen

Post by Hayne »

I have talked with three local Vets about useing Fresh Chilled Semen, All three have told me that they have never done the process and don't know what tempature it should be at the time its used. Two of the three said they had collected semen from a male and inseminanted the bitch with it, this was all in the same visit with both dogs in the office at the same time.

Can anyone tell me about the warming process the Vet needs to do to be able to use Chilled Semen ???

Thanks in advance for any info.

Hayne, contact jamie Hilbert for his vet's e-mail or number. I think he has all the information you'll need and can pass it onto your vet. A friend of mine just had the proccess done, and has a healthy litter of 8 pups. I think it will be a most common process in the next couple years.
