Are you guys really going back and forth about another Beagle magazine right here on The American Beagler forum?
In all seriousness, how do you suppose that makes Bev feel?

As has been said, "Bev's a big girl and can stand with the men".
I think this other magazine was to be a SPO field trial magazine and is no threat to a quality "Rabbit hunters" magazine...jmho.
Some ban competition, others use it as a challange to improve and strive for a higher level of quality, depends on what school you come from as to how you perceive it

Thank you Chris for acknowledging that it is probably in poor taste to use one magazine's free service to advertise for another. I'm proud to call you my friend.
Patch, thanks for the words of validation. Yes, I can stand with the big boys, the question is can the big boys stand with me?
I've granted this new magazine a one-time paid half-page ad in the August issue of The American Beagler to give him that opportunity. Field trialer or not, The American Beagler Magazine continues to be "the" magazine for all beaglers and rabbit hunters everywhere.

Re: Magazine
I understand what you mean, Jim. Can never get enough Beagle 'stuff' to read.Jim Orman wrote:Not to compare or cancel any of them just more information on the sport I love.

I only mentioned what I did to maybe spur some thought on using this particular medium to discuss it. It's really got nothing to do with standing with men, or competition, or anything else - it's more along the lines of being human and having feelings, and appreciating a little consideration.
Same way it might not be in very good taste to be asking about the latest Chevy truck on the Ford forum. Just picture yourself walking a mile in another person's shoes - that's all. Even big boys have feelings. Maybe I'm just a big wimp in the hard, crass world, but I hope I'm not the only one.
