I just call it like I see it and that little hound was impressive.
There was no "bragging" about Pearl on Sat. She didn't want to pack or handle worth a d**m, she was downright dissapointing.
I guess they all have "head up the azz" syndrome once in awhile.
I did not see any of the dogs run on Friday or Saturday, so I cannot comment.
Pearl and your male, Hammer, are two of the best handling hounds I have ever seen. I must work on this with my hounds!
Yes, I agree, they all have their good and not so good days. (Micheal Jordon did not score 40 every night)
I firmly believe that the hounds I run in trials are the same hounds I would take hunting. I believe that the AKC (and most other registries) base their rules upon hunting situations, right?

Anyone looking for a top notch hound to breed to should look at Joes hounds, every year he seems to come up with another great hound. He knows hounds period. Pawking has an awsome pedigree and i too will eventually breed something to pawking. Way to go Joe

i plan on breeding my daytona dog to him she is a super fast hound the fastest i the yard. she is a little tight with her mouth. off the jump but pours it out when it is moving i started her on rabbits but now run her on fox and coyotes. she is a full 15 and exceptional looking. she has all the tools and with what king brings to the table they should be some great pups. she has about 6 shots of snapps in 6 generations
joe it was great to meet you at the hunted hare hunt sun.I totally agree with you on the point that a trial dog and a hunting dog should be the same dog and you for sure have got that. on a side note when i left home for work mon. morning I left my bride home with a smile on her face.

Paw King is doing excelent. This past weekend I ran "King" solo in the wild. He ran the SAME rabbit, without a check longer than 15 seconds, for four hours. I picked him up because the rabbit was exhausted and started running small circles. If I did not catch Paw King, he would have caught the rabbit.
Thats great, how many breeding has he gotten so far?
