What breed??
Looking to get another dog and was wondering what breeds would be best as a medium to upper medium speed with good line control. No swinging. I am only a rabbit hunter and not looking to trial. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hammer79 - Selecting a dog by bloodline my not be the wise thing to do. All bloodlines have dogs within a litter with varying abilities (run at different speeds, poor check work, hunt independently, difficult to break from off game, hard to control). Pedigrees and selective breeding will enhence the probability of certain qualities in descendants but does not assure any of them. Since you are not a Trialer and own one or more Beagles at present, you may be handicapping your self by considering bloodlines, why not select a well stated dog that compliments those in your kennel ? This way you do not spend time and money with a pup trying to get what you want now. Pups are always a "Crap Shoot" due to the many variables that contribute to their proper developement as a good rabbit dog. IMO, what the dog can and does produce to my suit me is more important than all else.
