How Far Do You Travel To Hunt ?

I usually have to drive 10 -25 miles to get good public ground hunting (to hunt & shoot rabbits ) just wondering how far some of you regularly drive for private or public hunting ?

I like to go up North where you don't see other hunters, houses, or many vehicles.....depending on where I head it's often 80+ miles each way.

Here's the typical scenery, I think it's worth it

2 minutes to 2hrs, sometimes more. Wherever we can have a good hunt within reason. Have gun and hounds will travel!!

I don't shoot anything within an hour of the metro; they get too much pressure and it's often enough to have me driving over an hour for good running in the offseason.

Getting ready to load up and make a 2hr. drive right now. We usually drive at least an hour or more to find any good spots.

I dont usually have to far to drive i can be at my hunting spots in 15 to 20 min and run rabbits all day

About 12 miles to run and 15 to hunt, but whos counting. Being an Urban Beagler is tough at times. My wifes family has property 120 miles from us so when we visit for a weekend I take the dogs, and durring the hunting season I make a trip or two without her just to hunt. I also go about 90 miles a few times a year for a days hunting or running with Reddog1. See you soon Chuck.

3 1/2 hours north to hunt hare in northern mi every weekend from dec 1 through march 31...if buddies or family cant go i go alone...got it bad cant get enough
