What an amazing post!! I hare hunt in Vermont, but rarely have that much action! Do you have a large hare population, great hounds, or both!?

hey guys, thanks for all the nice comments. if ya like watching the clips i'll keep em coming cause i have a blast doing it.

chapkos - i just click on the upload video tab on youtube and choose the clip that i want to upload that i have placed on my desktop.

kkrun - i wish i had great dogs lol. i am happy with the dogs i'm running but always looking for that dog of a lifetime. aint found it yet but i still got time. the hare population is pretty good but part of the reason is that we try to keep it that way. i would rather have a track to run tomorrow than to have hare stew tonight.

any of you guys that have never been on a hare hunt/run should really give it a try. no guides up here but if ya ask around i'm sure someone would be willing to host a hare hunt. hey, it may even be me. some friends hosted a hunt for joeyman and his friend derek from il. and we ran with them today. hey we all like the same thing. just don't want to lose all my hare tracks and running spots because i was a nice guy, if ya know what i mean?

Thank you for your reply to my questions. I do understand your concern about showing your running spots, then perhaps risking your permission to be there. Last year, I took a fellow I knew out running with me to my best spot. he then got a hound, pounded the area alot, then the area became posted with no one allowed.

hey, ya never know. our hatchet pup from you sure acts nice so far. i had him chasin me and a dead hare around the back yard a few days ago . now that would have been a funny video lol. i think he is bout ready for a live one. i'll let ya know how it goes.

yea i didnt want that hare to get away i was goin to chase it down if the dogs didnt haha. it was the 1st one i have ever shot at i know it took me 4 shots and a few more circles to him but i did the dog deserved it they alll ran good that day and almost 2 hours on that hare i was proud to get him! 1st time for head cheese too and id have to say hare hunting over head cheese lol. If you ever breed freckels i would be interested in a pup to start on cottontail.
