ok guys how many of ya'll have heard this a couple of elderly gentlemen that have fox hunted told me about this home remedy. Take ordinary oats cook them dont make oatmeal out of them just boil them till there well cooked put them in a old mason jar and put it in the frig put about half a cup in the bitches food every day for a couple week before she whelps and there after till she weans the pups. i was skeptic myself but i tried it it seemed to work pretty well i could have milked here like a cow

It would provide an extra calorie source for sure, but the cereal grains are low in Calcium and high in Phosphorous so they shouldn't really help milk production other than the nutritional burst. I always use and recommend good quality puppy food for nursing females.
