My 11 year old daughter decided she wanted to try trapping. I helped her set 3 traps behind the house so she could check them before school. She has had pretty good luck so far. 3 traps, 5 days, 1 red fox and 1 coyote so far. She is exited about trapping and is really getting into it.

That is awesome!! She is enjoying herself and going back to the roots of how the old timers got it done!!

Love seeing young kids involved in the outdoors!! Especially a challenge like trapping, she can use the discipline of that in a lot of things other than the outdoors.

I agree that one huge yote red fox is a big one too....just curious do they do anything with the fox pelts r they worth any money

Do u bury your traps and put scent in them or what to catch them. i have friend that use a hole and scent with peep moss to trap with just curious. that is great to be able to catch preditors as smart as a fox and yote. good job. Love to see kids involved in the histroy of the family.

I think the fox hides are up in price put the coyote hides are not worth messing with. She just used a dirt hole set with some attractor lure.

The label on the jar got wet and fell off, have to check into it and let you know what brand. She is no stranger to the woods. Here is a picture from last winter when we went out calling and she was with me.

That is so cool that is the one thing that has eludged me in all the years of bow hunting is a bobcat. i have got foxes and yotes the only bobcat i have every seen was past me before i could get on it before light. looks like a good one man.
