Hey thanks GW. Randy, I am no expert on the Kalagha stuff. I had a female here by the name of Snookie who had two shots of Kalagha on top a shot of Rangerdan and Moss Glen breeding on the bottom. I felt she was too conservative for me but it may have been due to her bottom side and so I let her go the person that has her now put her in a few trials and she placed 2nd in her first trial and 4th in the last one. With that said I did see two of Gary Slicks dogs with Kalagha breeding run, FC Cabin fever butterbean and FC Cabin Fever Andy. Andy was about a 6 1/2 on speed and butterbean was bettween medium fast and fast, he was not slow by any means, so it all depends on what else is bred to them. I watched FC Langs little Eddie run at Langs place last year, he was an upper Mediun speed dog, enough foot but with control. He kept making checks on the other male he was running with which was also a FC. I bred A Rangerdan Granddaughter to Eddie and so far have a real nice 8 month old female with Lots and lots of hunt, good foot but close and clean.Tim hall from NY has a male out of that litter he really likes and says the dog hunts like a machien. A friend has one down south he likes and a board member has one that he is unsure of. I met Mike Johnson at Neversink last year he judged little females and I placed a female under him. His stuff is line bred DFJ and from what I understand his dogs have lots of hunt, jump and nose and are quick. I had contacted Mike about getting a pup out of his stuff which he had bred to the flatcreek male but decided to breed my female to the Eddie dog and so I never took a pup. If you ask me that would probably be the way I would go if I were you. I would take a pup out of his stuff bred to the Kalagha dog. Thats just my opinion. Also if Dan Lang is breeding FC Langs little Eddie to one of his hare bred females, that would be a good way to go also as he has had good luck breeding that way. I tend to like hare breeding with a shot of cottontail breeding for control....Good luck Randy.......take your time......DH

Try posting on beaglefieldtrials.com. Alot of NEBGF guys read and post there, and I know some of them run the lines you mention.
