First one ever. They sure are fun to run this one took me two circles to kill. The dogs ran another for 3 hours!! I kept catching glimpses of him but never did get a shot. You can bet i'll be doing more of it next season!!

No comparison between running cottontails or hare. Hare are a blast to run and usually put a beagle to the ultimate test conditions wise. Love hare hunting don't do it enough anymore.

yeah i cant belive it took me this long do drive the measly 2 hours north to do it. ill be up that way up a lot more next season.

Our Family has a cabin and 80 acres in the middle of hare country. The hare population got so poor that we decided to change over to big hounds and predator hunt. We hunt cats and coyotes which is awesome. I keep a couple beagles around to run every once in a while. Miss those long days in the hare woods though.
