RIP McDaniels Cherokee Zena

I had to put Zena down today. This will be the second dog that had earned my respect enough to bury in 27 years of owning hounds. She was my little girl, and all rabbit dog! I will miss you little Zena! Zena produced some nice hounds as well. As long as I own these little hounds, they will have Zena blood in them.

Sorry for your loss I owned faith which was out of zena and have two females out of faith that I really like.

it's a hard thing to have to send them on, and i have done it broken like a little kid. once had one get ran over i carried her in my arms gave her mouth to mouth she wagged her little tail 3-4 times then was gone after that i tried not to ever let myself love a dog so much that way when it happens i dont get so tore up. stay busy til the hurt goes away. you are right they are our little girls and little buddy. again my condolences Steve Church ps I once saw Joe Clark almost cry after he got some bad judging where his hound had won no doubt but not to be a stunned decision. I nearly cried and almost got in trouble with akc for being blunt and taking up for his dog.His dog beat mine and all the others there. Joes a big man never for got the disappointment and hurt of that day.

Thanks fellas. I appreciate the kind words. She will be hard to replace. I do have a daughter of her by FC Maravic's Mr. Stubb's Timberjack that will never leave my place.
