dogs have diarrhea
One of my beagles got it about a week ago. He is over it and now my black lab and other beagle have it. Just wondering if anyone else has had this awesome experience lately.

Seen some runny stool here too, figured it was maybe feeding to much with it getting colder. You got some suspicions?

2 of my 5 same thing. Its bow season here, thought maybe they found a gut pile or something somewhere.

Re: dogs have diarrhea
I thought mine got it from eating a rabbit they caught in the yard.
In my case it seems to be a virus that they have passed around. Once they started the runny stool I stopped feeding for 36 hours(I normally feed twice a day) and then started them on a mix of boiled chicken, rice, and a small amount of pumpkin (I found the details for this on line). At first just about 1/4 of their normal amount and then gradually increased. Then slowly mixed in the regular dog food. I think we have it under control now, its just a matter of getting them back to their regular diet.

Re: dogs have diarrhea
I would suggest dropping a stool sample off to the vet. That would eliminate any concerns.

Re: dogs have diarrhea
Good point. I did this with the first one to get it after his stool hardened back up. He was negative so I am confident the others have the same thing.
