A general forum for the discussion of hunting with beagles, guns, clothing and other equipment and just talking dawgs! (Tall tales on hunting allowed, but remember, first liar doesn't stand a chance)
Heres our female Gracie. She was bred (tied) by our male 6 weeks ago exactly. She is outta shape too for not being ran in a long time. Just wondered if any of you could tell by pics if you think she is bred. thanks Jon Cornett
I had a female that I bred 2 different times and neither time could you even tell she was pregnant until a couple days before she had them. Sometimes it's just hard to tell.

jon, your hound seems to have some short hairs underneath toward the back near and between her teets hanging down. Is this a normal amount for her or do you think there is more there than normally is, it will appear that static electricity is acting on them, This is generally the first sign of a pregnancy if you know what to look for, Just a guess but I would say you are going to have puppies! You probably don't think she is going to have puppies and you may be right, learn to look for this and you will be able to tell a little earlier!
Kinda hard to tell but like some said on here the last 2 weeks will tell tits fill with milk and gain weight But I went threw 2
false pregnancy on Females and they due all the above. Around 63 days your know for sure if she don't have them by the first time bred go to the next time you bred her, Sometime they come Early or much later. jmo
Seriously, its a poor view to make any kind of judgement. If she was standing naturally and you got a side view and a view from above her, it would be easier to have a valid opinion.
Just wait another 3 weeks, or get an ultra sound.
The ultra sound ( NOT x-ray as it could damage the pups) will not exactly tell you how many pups,
just give you a ball park
An ultra sound shouldn't be too expensive, our own vet does it for free, seeing we purchase all
our supplies etc. from him
Good luck with your female

When I bred my Nikki female for the first time and she absolutely did not show at all to the point I wrote off a litter. on the 63rd day she wasn't out of her box at chow time so I looked in and she had one lone pup that was pretty small but healthy. This was all pretty confusing beings that she had been bred by another owner previously and had a litter of 6 or 7.
