He's in every pic you see there. He's an animal. 100% trash free and will run the front all day every day and finds the throat at the end.BCBeagles wrote:Great pics! Ol' Chief still coming along for you??

Great pictures. What breeding are those black and white dogs? How far away do the coyotes run normally and do they run in a circle like a rabbit? Are they mostly trailed up or jumped like a rabbit?
A few around here run them but do it at night. Never seen anyone hunt them like you do.

They are a cross of running walker and black and tan tree hound. We ran papered fogs for years but coyote hunting in pens and field trials changed the way people were breeding and we ran out of outcrosses in our kennel and ended up breeding some black snd tan treehound in our line to keep some nose. darn pen hunters only breed for speed and dogs that babble everywhere they go.Alabama John wrote:Great pictures. Your second question is yes and no. Some will circle like a rabbit. Just a lot bigger circles. And some will line out for miles and then circle and go right bsck to where you started them.
The answer to your third question is both. Some will find an old track and track it out barking to the jump. Not what I prefer. It's not a rabbit its not gona sit in a bush and wait until the dog finds it to jump. They'll get up and move on you as soon as dog goes to barking sometime. A good jump dog imo will not bark until it's game has been lifted and then he'll continue to bark until its dead or caught.

What kind of camera you shooting?
I was going to comment on the black and white dog. First thing I noticed in every picture was that dude locked on the jugular.
